halloween cards
I created a bunch of different design ideas and tried three different ones as practice. My first idea was to make birthday donuts, before moving onto the idea of halloween cards. The reason donuts were the main feature of my cards was because I was inspired by a donut shop in Ouseburn, Newcastle - the idea was to create cards for that shop specifically, which then moved into a general idea of making halloween cards for different treats.
Then I looked into making ideas for toy designs, my inspiration for these (top two) were jellycats and dog toys. I then made 3D models of these designs.
Then I made some stickers based on the halloween card designs I made, one of them is included in one of the final cards, and the other is included in my wrapping paper, which is below. For the wrapping paper, I wanted to make it similar to the style of the cards but a little more simplified. So, the shading was similar but the art styles are more of a "chibi" version.
Below shows my three final halloween card designs. I played around with a lot of different brushes for this and I really enjoyed the process.
The feedback that I recieved was to correct the colour of the text to make it more readable, so I tried my best to correct this. I think that the only thing I would go back and change is the background of all of the cards.
